They included Miracle Amumuwa, Ifeanyi Simeon, Koko Bassey, Ameachi Stanley and Uchenna Parks

The five suspects were arraigned alongside two others on May 29, 2016 on ten count charge of conspiracy, stealing, armed robbery and murder.

Our reporter Festus Wike reports that the two other suspects Chukudi Etete and Anthony Ugwu were discharged and acquitted by the court for lack of diligent prosecution.

The suspect had gone to the deceased house and robbed him of his Range Rover Jeep, an Infinix Phone and other valuables before killing him.

Delivering his judgement Justice Omereji held that the prosecution was unable to prove its case against two of the suspects and therefore discharge and acquitted them.

Reacting to the conviction and sentence of the other five persons the prosecuting counsel Ubolum described the judgement as a welcome development and said it would serve as a deterrent to other who are involved in criminal activities in the state
