FEDERAL GOVERMENT ANNOUNCES PROVISION OF ELECTRICITY TO OLOOJI COMMUNITY IJEBU EAST, OGUN STATE.

The federal government through its Rural Electrification Agency, REA on saturday annouced the provision of electricity to Olooji community Ijebu East Ogun state for the first time since the community came into existence two hundred years ago.

It said residents of the community experienced power supply for the first time on friday with the official Inaugration of a lookup solar-power off-grid electricity system by the REA.

The REA in a statement issued by its spokeman Mouktar Ebraheem said the remote community had about four thousand five hundred residents.

The Ogun state Governor Dapo Abiodum who was represented by the commissioner for Rural Development, Oladotun Taiwo emphaized the need to leverage Novel technologies to aid the availability of reliance and sustainable electricity in Nigeria.
