RSUST URGED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT

The Rivers State University has been urged to take advantage of the human capital development aspect of the state government on-going infrastructural projects.

The Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Mr. Chukwuemeka Woke gave the charge during the 2020 End of Year Award ceremony of the faculty of Engineering of the University.

Mr. Woke who explained that the state government has enacted a deliberate policy that makes it mandatory for all major companies handling road and flyover construction projects in the state engage indigenenous engineers, said the faculty stands to gain in the on-going infrastructural development of the state.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor who is an alumnus of the university said it was important that the Dean and management of the Faculty of Engineering key into the human capital development of the state government to ensure that while engineers are being trained and gaining experience in the oil sector, they should also be prepared for the future maintenance of the beautiful infrastracture being put in place by the government.
