ADAMAWA STATE GOVERNOR EULOGIES GOVERNOR WIKE FOR HIS UNCOMMON VISION AND RARE COURAGE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STATE.

The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has commended Governor Nyesom Wike for demonstrating uncommon vision and rare courage in working for Rivers people and advancing the unity of the country.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri made the commedation yesterday while inaugurating Emeyal, Elelenwo and General Diriyai Streets constructed by the Governor Nyesom Wike administration as part of his urban renewal progromme.

The Adamawa State Governor who described Governor Wike as an irrepressible democrat, noted that his developmental strides in the state are unprecedented and can hardly be equaled, marched or surpassed in coming years.

He urged the Governor to sustain his development programme for Rivers people, irrespective of criticism.

In his speech, the State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike said the construction of the road projects is aimed at improving and enhancing the value of properties within the area.

Governor Wike noted that contrary to criticism that his administration is only developing port Harcourt and Obia/Akpor Local Government Areas, the direct beneficiaries of his development programmes are Rivers people from the various local governments who live in the two Local Government Areas.

He announced that from first jenuary 2021, he will commence the commioning of projects executed by his administration across the twenty-three Local Government Areas of the state.

Governor Wike warned against street trading along the newly inaugurated streets, saying government will put in place a taskforce to ensure that streets trading no longer exist in the area.

Earlier in his remarks, the state commissioner for works, Mr. Elioka Tasie Amadi said the streets which were initially one lane were tranformed to dua carriage, all marked for better street management and fitted with street lights as part of the government urban renewal programme aimed at beautification, property value appreciation and enhancement, investment attraction, saving on vehicles maintenance and other cost.
