Resdents of Rivers State have been commenting on the bill before the House of Representatives for the imprisonment of those who farm and those who buy marijuana from farmers in the country.
Speaking with a Radio Rivers Reporter, Edward Kianagbo in Port Harcourt, a lecturer in the University of Port Harcourt, Dr. Rex Needom and Mr. Samuel Wisdom said the bill should be given accelerated hearing stressing that when passed into law, it would reduce youth involvement in illicit activities in the society.
They also expressed worry over the rate at which many people indulge in planting dangerous weeds thereby encouraging restiveness among youth.
