RESIDENT OF RIVERS STATE COMMENTED ON THE ENDSARS AND POLICE BRUTALITY PENEL SET UP IN THE STATE AS ITS SITTING COMES TO AN END

Some residents of the Rivers State have commented on the EndSars and Police brutality panel set up in the State as its sitting comes to an end.

A legal practitioner Mr. Godspower Godfrey hailed the setting of panel across the country especially in Rivers State.

Mr. Godfrey stated this in Port Harcourt while speaking with a Radio Rivers Correspondent Justice Ogbonna.

He called for the implementation of the findings and punish erring police officers so that people will have trust in panels next time to avoid the escalation of crises.

On the filing of cases introduced in the state he welcomed the development stressing that it will enhance quick dispensation of justice.

He however, noted that lack of constant electricity, shortage of computer among others may hamper the system.

Mr. Godfrey who is also the Chairman of Eleme lawyer’s forum also called on lawyers to close ranks for the system to work.

            Mr. Godfrey who is the Chairman of Eleme lawyer’s forum restated their support to the State Judiciary and Governor Wike to reposition the Judiciary for a greater efficiency.
