The Rivers State Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Real Madrid Football Academy, Rivers State have kicked-off Selection Process for Students seeking to be admitted into the Real Madrid Football Academy, Rivers State.
The two-pronged process began yesterday with aptitude test held at the premises of Model Girls Secondary School, Rumuokwuta, Rivers State.
Supervised by the State Commissioner for Education, Professor Kaniye Ebeku and the S.A on Real Madrid Football Academy, Rivers State, Mr. Christopher Green, the exercise was held Under Strict Compliance with all Covid-19 heath protocols.
Candidates were required to wear nose masks and to ensure physical and social distancing as twenty-four Classrooms and one hundred and twenty sitting capacity hall was used for the test.
There was palpable enthusiasm for the exercise and equal eagerness on the part of prospective candidates to gain admission into the specialized academy.
The down side of it was that the authorities found that many unqualified candidates needlessly turned up for the test.
The process continues today at the Sharks Stadium, Hospital Road, Port Harcourt with practical screening to assess the candidates footballing skills.
