RESIDENTS OF RIVERS STATE ADVOCATE THE INVOLVEMENT OF WOMEN IN SCIENCES AS THE WORLD MARKS THE INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SCIENCE

As the world marked the International Day for Women and Girls in Science, residents of the state have advocated the involvement of more women in sciences to tackle some scientific problems confronting the society.
Some of the residents, Favour Joshua, Ukpabi Amaka, Eboh Priscilla in an interview with Radio Rivers correspondent, Nsikak Kufre in Port Harcourt encouraged young girls to be more delighted in studying sciences as their male counterparts saying the period when women shy away from taking science subjects is over.
The respondents urged government to provide science equipment in primary, secondary and tertiary institution to encourage the study of science in Nigeria.
