TWO PERSONS KILLED AND VEHICLE BELONGING TO ONDO STATE SECURITY, AMOTEKUN SET ABLAZE BY SUSPECTED HERDSMEN.

Suspected herdsmen on rampage in Ondo State have killed two people and set ablaze a vehicle belonging to Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun.

The incident occurred at Sanusi Village in the Owo Local Government of the State.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of Amotekun Corps, Adebayo Ayeni confirmed the killing and burning of its vehicle.

He said men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency have again made another major breakthrough in their strive to rid Ondo State of criminal elements.

Ayeni said the cartel were piling up arms and ammunition to invade the entire State, while masquerading was herders and using the forest as kidnapper’s dens for negotiations and ransom, illegal mining activities and cultivation of Indian hemps.

According to him, the security outfit in conjunction with the Police, the Army and other security agencies in the state however, smoke them out of a forest, after it was discovered that the bandit had killed a farmer and a member of the vigilante group in the area.
