NDLEA UNCOVERS WAREHOUSE CANTAINING BAGS OF CANNABIS SATIVA WORTH SEVENTEEN MILLION NAIRA IN PORT HARCOURT.

The Rivers State Office of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Saturday at the Abuja Estate in town Port-Harcourt, uncovered a warehouse containing twenty three bags of compressed blocks of Cannabis Sativa, weighing six hundred and twenty-one kilogrammes and Zero points Zero- two-nine kilogrammes of Cocaine with an estimated street value of over seventeen million naira.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday while parading three male suspects arrested in connection with the illegal substance, the Rivers State Commander of NDLEA, Rachael Shelleng said the Agency also stormed the slaughter axis of Port Harcourt and recovered Zero point one five- Zero kilogrammes of loose quality of cannabis sativa, Zero point Zero-Zero-six kilogrammes of heroin and Zero point Zero-four-eight kilogrammes of methamphetamine.
Mrs Shelleng said based on credible intelligence report, the agency had ordered officers and men of the command to storm the two flash points.
She thanked other security outfits for working together with the agency to achieve the great feat.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mrs. Rachael Shelleng has appealed to the State Government to assist the agency by providing it with accommodation, Vehicles and other logistics so that the war on illicit drugs would be heightened in the state.
Mrs. Shelleng maintained that if the agency is well equipped, it can comfortably tour the twenty-three Local Government Areas of the State.
