HOODLUMS ATTACK OMOBA POLICE STATION IN ISIALA-NGWA SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA IN ABIA STATE KILL TWO POLICE OFFICERS ON DUTY

Some suspected hoodlums have attacked Omoba police station in Isiala Ngwa south local government Area in Abia state killing two police officers on duty.
Report gathered that the hoodlums stormed the station at about 2.30 am Tuesday morning.
It was also gathered that the situation has created more panic in the area as everyone including police officers are now working in fear.
The police public relations officer in charge of the Abia state police command SP Geoffrey Ogbonna told newsmen that some of the hoodlums were gunned down while others escaped with injuries
He explained that it is unfortunate that some hoodlum gained access to the station through the court close by and laid ambush on police officers early morning Tuesday 23rd February, adding that two of their men lost their lives during the incident and the police station burnt down by the hoodlums using petrol bomb.
