EFCC, ENUGU ZONAL OFFICE HAS ARRAIGNED A FAKE CHEVRON WORKER, UGURU JUSTUS BEFORE JUSTICE PHOEBE AYUA

The Economics and Financial Crimes Commission, Enugu Zonal office, on “Wednesday arraigned a fake Chevron worker, Uguru Justus, before Justice Phoebe Ayua of the Federal High Court Abbakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Justus was arraigned on one count of obtaining money by predences to the June of four million five hundred thousand.

A statement by the Head, Media and Publicity, EFCC, Ms. Wilson Uwujaren, indicated that the suspect allegedly defrauded a former Governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress in the State Dr. Edward Nlawegu of the said amount on the pretext of securing a contract for him at Chevron Nigeria Limited.

The offence was said to be contrary to section 1(1) (a) and punishable under section (1) (3) of Advance fee fraud and other fraud related offences Act 2006 . The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the charge
