DOCTORS REAFFIRM THEIR SUPPORT TO GOVERNOR WIKE TO REALISE HIS EFFORTS OF PROVIDING EFFECTIVE HEALTHCARE SERVICE FOR THE STATE.

Doctors in Government Hospitals in Rivers State have reaffirmed their support to Governor Nyesom Wike to realise his laudable efforts of providing effective healthcare service for the state.
The President Association of Resident Doctors, Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Doctor George Ela stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after the Association’s Ordinary General Meeting in Port Harcourt.
According to the President, the statement comes after Governor Wike’s pronouncement for the rehabilitation of Dental and Maxillo-Facial Hospital as well as ensuring prompt completion of a world class Mother and Child hospital in the state.
Urging Resident Doctors to always key-into the vision and mission statement of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Doctor Ela stated that the meeting was to sensitise members to make Excellence their guiding principles in the discharge of their duties.
He appealed to the Governor to make real his pronouncement of recruiting five thousand qualified youths into the State Civil Service, especially in the health sector to enhance effective service delivery.
Doctor Ela, expressed gratitude to Governor Wike for releasing funds for the upgrade of facilities in the Rivers State University, emphasizing it will facilitate accreditation of more courses in the institution.
