NLC RIVERS STATE CHAPTER CALLS FOR A PROTEST TOMORROW AGAINST MOVES TO TRANSFER NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGES ISSUES.

In compliance with the directive of the National Secretariat of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Abuja, the Rivers State Council of NLC has urged its members both in the public and private sector and social allies to come out in their numbers tomorrow for a mass protest/rally against moves to transfer National Minimum Wage issue from the Exclusive list to the concurrent list.
In a statement made available to newsmen and signed by the Secretary of Rivers State council of NLC, Mr Matthew Olabe, the congress urged workers and its allies to continue the fight against slave wages in the country. Mr Olabe however urged members to assemble at the Nigeria Labour Congress Secretariat, number 12 Igboukwu state, D/Line Port Harcourt at half past seven on Wednesday morning for take-off.
