THE WORLD MARKED THE WORLD KIDNEY DAY ON THURSDAY WITH THE THEME ”KIDNEY HEALTH FOR EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE” AS GLOBAL AWARENESS .

The World marked the World Kidney Day on Thursday with the theme ‘Kidney Health for Everyone, Everywhere” as a global campaign to raise awareness on the importance of kidney to the overall health.

A medical practitioner Dr. Rachel Ogundu described the World Kidney Day as important to create more awareness to the people on the symptoms, management and prevention of kidney disease for a healthy society.

Dr. Ogundu who stated this in an interview with Radio Rivers Correspondent Alexander Wikina in her office in Port Harcourt urged people to stop smoking, reduce stress, and limit alcohol intake to avoid kidney disease.
