FORMER PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN AND HIS WIFE, GOVERNOR WIKE AND OTHER DIGNITORIES ATTENDED THE FUNERAL SERVICE OF LATE HIGH CHIEF OLU BENSON LULU-BRIGGS.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan, Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike and other dignitaries attended the funeral service of late Oil Magnate, High Chief Olu Benson Lulu-Briggs in Abonnema, Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.

Chief Lulu-Briggs who passed on to glory at the age of eighty-eight was until his demise the Inikeiroari the fifth of Kalabari and Paramount Head of Oruwari Briggs, Head of Oruwari Briggs War Canoe House of Abonnema.

The funeral Servicer which had the customary combination of pump and pageantry was also graced by Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Doctor Ipalibo Harry Banigo, former Governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke and his wife, Mrs Onari Duke and former Governor of Rivers, Sir Celestine Omehia.

Other dignitaries in attendance were the Minister of State for Petroleum Chief Timipre Sylva, Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Doctor Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Sir Austine Opara, Rivers State Chairman of People Democratic Party, Ambassador Desmond Akawor, Secretary to Rivers Government, Doctor Tammy Danagogo.

Also present were the Chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers and Amanyanabo of Opobo Kingdom, His Majesty King Dandeson Douglas Jaja,  the Amayanabo of Abonnema, King Disreal Gbobo Bob-Manuel, Chairman Rivers State Elder Council, High Chief  Ferdinand Alabraba, the former Managing Directors of Niger Delta Development Commission, Timi Alaibe and Ms Joi Nunieh and several others.
