The First Ministerial Summit organized by Seventh Day Adventist Church, Rivers East Conference for Pastors and Elders has ended with a charge to Church Leaders to make the church of God-Centre of edification, attraction and result driven for Christ Jesus.
President of Eastern Nigeria Union of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Pastor Bassey Udoh stated this while delivering a sermon captioned “The Result You Can Experience When Pastors/Elders Are Co-Labourers”, said when Pastors and elders worked as a team, it would create impact and the people would be glad to be in the House of the Lord for derivable benefits.
Pastor Udoh said the Ministerial Summit was a refresher programme aimed at ensuring the spiritual awakening and responsibilities of the Elders and Pastors as Co-labourers, stressing that both the Elders and the Pastors have ecclesiastical functions and authorities that will be respected by all.
He called on leaders who profess Jesus Christ to be exemplary in their conduct noting that persuasive approach remains the best option for Pastors and Elders of Adventist.
Addressing newsmen on the theme “The Summit I will Go: Pastors and Elders as co-labourers, President, Rivers East Conference of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Pastor Joyful Nobana said the Church of God needed proper guidance and supervision, to enhance credible growth and membership sustenance.
The Communication Director for the Conference, Bemene Tane disclosed that the three-day summit attracted eminent leaders of the Church.
