Chad’s new Military rulers have named Albert Pahimi Padacke who was runner-up in Sahel Country’s April Presidential election as Prime Minister of a transitional government a week after President Idriss Deby’s battle field death.
The appointment has however been dismissed by the opposition leader.
A military council seized power after Deby was killed as he visited troops fighting rebels in April 19.
Opposition politicians have called the military take-over a coup and one said on Monday that the Army had no right to pick a premier.
