DAME CHRISTIE TOBY, WIFE OF ONE-TIME DEPUTY GOVERNOR TURNS 80 YEARS OLD TOMORROW.

A foremost Educationist in Nigeria and wife of a one-time Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dame Christie Toby will be 80 years old tomorrow.
Ceremonies designed to celebrate God’s goodness in her life begin with a Thanksgiving Service at the Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Church, Hospital Road, Port Harcourt at ten O’clock in the morning.
Dame Christie who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Archdeacon Brown Education Centre, Woji and the Mary Virginia Nursery and Primary Schools, Iriebe, Port Harcourt, is seen in many circles as a woman of many parts.
A retired Director of Personnel, Ministry of Women Affairs, she was Sole Administrator, Delta Hotels Limited which operated a chain of Rivers State Government owned Hotels and Guest Houses from 1995-1999.
Dame Christie holds a Master of Education Degree, University of Bath, Britain, 1992 and Doctorate Degree, University of Port Harcourt, 1990 amongst other qualifications.
She is a recipient of many professional awards including Fellow, Nigerian Academy of Education, FNAE and Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Management, FNIM.
An ardent Christian and Social Worker, Dame Christie was provincial Lay Secretary, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion for sixteen years, President Council of Knights, Order of Blessed Virgin Mary and member Niger Delta Diocesan and Finance Boards, 1996 till date.
