Governor Nyesom Wike’s move to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of Okrika by acquiring twenty three hectares of Land through sand filling of the River in Okirika has generated mixed Reactions.
In an interview with our reporter some indigenes of Okirika, Kingsley Kalio, Martins Daka and Charity Wakama described it as a move in the right direction, as it would attract development to the area and provide more land for the people.
The respondents also called on the government to employ and empower the people because some of them get their means of livelihood from the rivers.
