The killing of a bus driver along NTA Road Ngbuoba by men said to be of the NSCDC attached to the Rivers State Taskforce on street trades and illegal parks disrupted business activities.
The situation led to the barricades of the two lanes of road by members of the Association Urban Drivers, Rivers State in protest.
They said the driver identified as Christian was shot during an argument with members of the task force for dropping off passengers along the road.
Chairman of the Association, Mr Bestman Chile called on the State Government to ensure that the NSCDC official is brought to justice.
However the brother to the victim Abel William narrated how his brother was confirmed dead by a doctor at the UPTH.
Meanwhile the Rivers state Taskforce and NSCDC are yet to comment on the incident.
The incident caused heavy traffic and commuters left stranded yesterday.
