RESIDENTS OF RIVERS STATE REACT TO THE INCREASE IN FOOD STUFF IN THE MARKET.

As the price of food stuff in the market keeps increasing, residents of Rivers State have reacted to the situation.
Speaking to Radio Rivers Correspondents, Happiness Morrison and Charity Ebokpo in an interview during a visit to markets in Port Harcourt, Mrs Mary Ebeh, Peter Chimezie, Peace Kanu, Janet James expressed displeasure over the incessant food price increase.
They said before now a basin of garri was sold for three thousand Naira, custard rubber of beans was eight hundred Naira, rice at least one thousand five hundred Naira, but the current price of garri is seven thousand Naira, beans two thousand five hundred Naira and rice three thousand Naira.
The respondents called on the government to do something to improve the state of things in the country, saying the present hash economic condition was becoming unbearable for the common people.
