DR. PETER ODILI RECEIVES CONDOLENCES OVER THE DEMISE OF HIS ELDER BROTHER, CHIEF FEDELIS OBI ODILI

Former Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili has been receiving condolences over the demise of his elder brother, Chief Fedelis Obi Odili.

Among those who called at his residence is a delegation from Nasarawa State Council of Traditional Rulers led by its Chairman and the Emir of Lafia, retired Justice Sidi Bage Muhammed.

Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed who was accompanied by Alhaji Ahmaou Aliyu, Andoma of Domia and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, of Rivers State, Emeka Woke said they were saddened by the death of his elder brother.

 The Emir of Lafia who described Dr. Odili as a generous, hospitable personality and one of the best leaders that Nigeria has produced, said that whatever affects Dr. Odili affect people from all over the country.

He prayed God to grant the Odili family the fortitude to bear the loss of their beloved one and for God to continue to keep Dr. Odili in good health so he will continue all the good works that he has been doing for the nation.

Responding, former Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili said he is honoured by the condolence visit and words of encouragement by the Emir of Lafia.

Dr. Odili said he felt elated by the kind gesture of the Emir pointing out that the visit has further demonstrated the importance the Emir attaches to his relationship with the people of Rivers State.
