HOST COMMUNITIES SAY $500M FUND WILL BE UTILISED TO TRANSFORM OIL ANG GAS COMMUNITIES

The Host Communities Producing Oil and Gas in Nigeria, HOSCOM, has disclosed that the 3%, about $500M provided for in the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, would be utilized to achieve sustainable development in the oil and gas communities.
Chairman, HOSOM, Dr. Mike Emuh who stated this while speaking to newsmen noted that the many decades of neglect borders on water, roads and jobs for the youths in various communities in Nigeria.
He also said that Nigeria must appreciate what the 9th National Assembly has done with regards to the creation of a Special Fund for Oil and Gas Communities as it will go a long way in addressing the environmental injustice in the Country.
