The Rivers State Chapter of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, has rendered assistance to a mother of quadruplets, Mrs Comfort Isaac who had cried out for help following safe delivery of four children.

NAWOJ in conjunction with a Non-governmental Organisation, Susan Brown Foundation visited her at her residence to show support as there is no tangible means of livelihood for the family.

Elated with gifts presented to her and her new born babies, she hinted she never knew she was carrying four babies, adding that all the traditional birth attendants she visited told her she had fibroids.

She further disclosed that her husband had no work and taking care of their children was going to be very difficult.

After listening to her story, Miss Kadilo Brown, Proprietor of Susan Brown Foundation offered the mother and the new babies a temporary shelter at her facility to protect them from cold and save the lives of the remaining three children as she had already lost one of the babies.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, has thanked the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr. Ipalibo Harry-Banigo, for her gesture to the Association.

The Chairperson of NAWOJ, Comrade Susan Serakara Nwikhana, expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governor while receiving Desktop, Printer and Uninterrupted Power Supply, UPS, donated to the Association by the Deputy Governor through the Director of Administration’s office of the Deputy Governor, Ben Roberts.
