PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI DEPARTS ABUJA FOR NEW YORK TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 76TH SESSION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

President Muhammadu Buhari departed Abuja today for New York to participate in the seventy sixth session of the United Nations General Assembly UNGA 76 which opened on September 14.
The theme for this year’s UNGA is “Building Resilience through Hope To Recover from Covid-19, Rebuild Sustainably-Respond to Needs of the Planet, Respect the Right of people and Revitalise the United Nations.
In a statement by Buhari’s Spokesperson, Femi Adesina said the President would address the Assembly on Friday September twenty fourth when he will speak on other global issues.
Mr. Adesina said Buhari will hold bilateral meetings with several other leaders delegations, and heads of international development of organization, following who he will return to the Country on Sunday, September, 26.
