FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS SEEKING FOR ONE POINT TWO BILLION DOLLARS LOAN.

The Federal Government has said it is seeking a loan of one point two billion dollars from Brazil to finance agricultural progammes in the 2021 budget.

Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainah Ahmed, made this known during a meeting with the House of Representatives committee on Finance Abuja.

Ahmed said a request has been sent to the Natinal Assembly to approve the loan from the Brazilian government.

She said the loan will be used to address issues in agriculture, adding that one hundred thousand hectares of land will be acquired in each state for food production.
