SENATE DECLINES COMFIRMATION OF BUHARI’S AIDE AS A NOMINEE FOR INEC JOB.

The Senate has stepped down the comfirmation of the special Assistant to the President on the Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, as a National commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The chamber has reached out to the presidency to replace Onochie’s whose nominatio has divided senators.

Reports says the senate committee discovered that Onochie is greatly partisan based on her conviction that the All Progressive Congress APC and President Buhari are the best for Nigerians.

Onochie’s fate is delaying the comfirmation of the three others on the list submitted to the Senate by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buahri had on october, thirteen, nominated Onochie, professor Muhammad Sani Kallah from Katsina, professor Kunle Cornelius Ajayi Ekiti and Saidu Babura Ahmed, of Jigawa state as INEC commissioner nominees.
