A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Onueze Chukwujinka Okocha has advised the Federal Government to adhere to the principles of rule of law to enhance constitutional democracy in Nigeria.
Chief Onueze Okocha, a former president of the Nigeria Bar Association stated this in a lecture to mark the fortieth anniversary of the Rivers State University, Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.
The lecture tittled ” The Rule of law: Total Adherence as a Panacea for the Restoration of Security, law and order in Nigeria”. The legal luminary stated that one of the fundermental principles of the rule of law was the concept of separation of power.
The Senior Advocate urged the Federal Government to ensure that the three arms of government functioned independently.
