NON PERFORMING LGA CHAIRMEN WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR RE-ELECTION.

Residents of the State have thrown their  weight behind Governor Wike’s  recent statement that non performing Local Government Chairmen will not be considered for re-election this year.

Stakeholders in Emuoha Local Government Area, Shedrack Mcmary Nwosha, Bariboa Williams, Ebinyo Ekine in a  chat with Radio Rivers  correspondents Asitonka Fubara-Tams and Kufre Nsikak said it will check non performing  politicians vying for political positions  in the  State.

According  to them, with the available resources, local government  chairmen who have performed well in their areas should  be given a  second term in office.

They called for financial autonomy of  Local Government  across the  Country. The criteria given by the Governor for the re-election of a Local Government Area Chairmen is projects execution in their Local Government Areas.
