PAULINUS NSIRIM CALLED ON THE MEDIA EXECUTIVES TO INTENSIFY PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 2ND WAVE

Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim has called on Media Executives in the State to intensify Public Awareness Campaign on the Spread of the second wave of coronavirus.
The Commissioner who stated this during a press briefing in his office in Port Harcourt stressed that Covid-19 was real, so Media Organizations Must take the lead in creating awareness among the public as part of their corporate social responsibility.
Paulinus Nsirim also advised Media heads to create outlays and adopt survivors of the virus as brand ambassadors to drive the campaign.
The Commissioner enjoined members of the Public to seek medical diagnosis in the event of ill health with symptoms similar to covid-19, saying it will help to curb the spread of the disease in the state.
He warned those in the habit of spreading propaganda capable of undermining government’s efforts to combat the virus to desist as everyone was prone the disease.
