RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT DIRECTS CIVIL SERVANTS ON SALARY GL 01 – 13, TO STAY AT HOME DUE TO INCREASE IN COVID-19 SECOND WAVE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Rivers State Government has directed Civil Servants on salary grade levels one to thirteen to stay at home until further notice due to the recent increase in COVID 19 second wave.

A statement by the Rivers State Head of Service, Rufus Godwins indicates that Governor Nyesom Wike approved the stay at home order.

According to the Head of Service, officers on grade levels fourteen and above should oversee the day to day responsibilities of their various offices until further notice.

The statement further States that all Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Extra Ministerial offices should ensure compliance with the directive and observe strictly all COVID 19 protocols

The directives which took effect from Wednesday will remain in force until the Governor directs otherwise.
