BENUE STATE GOVERNMENT IMPOUNDS OVER 300 COWS AND 6 ARMED HERDERS FOR VIOLATING STATE’S GAZING LAW.

Benue State Government has impounded three hundred and seventy-six cows and six-armed herders in Kaseyo Guma Local Government Area for violating the State’s Grazing Law.
Deputy Governor of the State, Benson Abounu who disclosed this in Makurdi also raised concern over the massive influx of heavily armed herders into the state.
He expressed the worry of the government over the development explaining that the government had also commenced investigation into the recent alarm raised by the Nasarawa State Government over the deployment of suspected Boko Haram members on the Benue- Nasarawa border.
