The Secretary of Nigeria Labour Congress Rivers State Chapter, Matthew Olabe has reassured workers in the State that all pending Labour Matters would be adequately articulated in the task of improving workers welfare.
The NLC Secretary stated this while speaking as guest on Radio Rivers Weekly Current Affairs Programme Spotlight.

He expressed delight over the sincere approach of Government’s team led by the Secretary to State Government, Doctor Tammy Danagogo describing the mood at the preliminary stage of negotiations as encouraging.
According to him, the Tripartite Committee is the right step in the right direction because as he puts it the committee comprises all critical stakeholders required to midwife harmonious relations between government and Labour and called for understanding and support of all.
The Secretary of NLC who stood in for the Chairman of the State NLC Mrs. Beatrice Itubo assured that the issues of Minimum Wage arrears, pension and gratuity, promotion and incremental benefits and salaries of workers not paid in February and March 2016 and all other pending labour demands were among matters on the front burner.
