VENERABLE MINA APIRIOKU URGES CHRISTIANS TO GO INTO THE FORTY DAYS FASTING AND REUNITE WITH GOD TO HAVE PEACE OF MIND

Christians has been urged to go into the forty days fasting and reunite with God to have peace of mind.

The Vicar of Saint Batholomew’s Anglican Church Fimie Somiari Ama Parish in the Okrika North Archdeaconry of the Diocese of Okrika, Venerable Mina Apirioku stated this while speaking with Radio Rivers Reporter, Fubara Miebaka Amadi on Ash Wednesday, Venerable Apirioku said the Lenten season affords Christians the opportunity to retrace their steps and go back to God.

          The Man of God noted that prayers without fasting may not be able to help them engage satanic forces in their lives pointing out that when they pray and fast, they eliminate every negative voice in their lives urging all Christians to pray and fast in this season.

          The Anglican Cleric, advised that they should not put on sackcloth countenance like the hypocrites but engage true fasting withalms-giving to the poor, adding that they were created by God through dust and through dust they would return.
