The Chairman of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA retired Brigadier General, Mohammed Buba Marwa has advised staff of the Airport Command of the Agency to work in synergy with the various security agencies at the Port Harcourt International Airport to stop the export and import of drugs passing through the airport.
Brigadier General Marwa who gave the advice while addressing airport security men shortly after inspecting facilities at the airport regretted that the consumption of hard drugs in the country had increased with negative effect on the lives of youths and adults.
The NDLEA boss said the fight against illicit drugs was the responsibility of all Nigerians, noting that most drug peddlers make use of International Airports for their drug business.
He stressed that the agency would continue to work tirelessly against the consumption and manufacturing of drugs in the country.
