UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the violent crackdown on Myanmar and urged the International Community to send a clear signal to the country’s military that it must respect the election results and stop the repression.
At least eighteen people were killed, thirty wounded and hundreds were arrested as Police used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse demonstrators on Sunday in Myanmar.
Yesterday, protesters marched in Myanmar in defiance of the security forces crackdown.
Reports say Aung San Suu Kyi also faced court proceeding on Monday charges of possessing unregistered walkie-talkies.
