THREE EARTHQUAKES, ONE OF THE FIRST EVER STRUCK OFF THE COAST OF NEW ZEALAND TODAY

Reports say three earthquakes, including one of the strongest ever to hit the region, struck off the coast of New Zealand today triggering Tsunami warning that have now been stood down.
Thousands were evacuated from some coastal areas of the North Island after the third eight point one magnitude quake struck.
There were however reports of traffic gridlocks as people tried to reach higher ground.
Residents were told they could return home bit, were warned to stay off beaches.
