PARLIAMENTARY WORKERS THREATENED TO PARALYZE THE ACTIVITIES OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND HOUSES OF ASSEMBLY OVER NON IMPLEMENTATION OF FINANCIAL AUTONOMY LEGISLATION.

Parliamentary workers in the country under the auspices of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria has threatened to shut down the National Assembly as well as all State Houses of Assembly in the country if the financial autonomy legislation is not implemented with immediate effect.
The Union is also demanding the total independence for State Legislature in accordance with the provision of the constitution which advocates separation of power for the three arms of government as well as Executive Order Ten signed by the President.
The parliamentary workers led by the National Leadership staged a protest at the gate of the National Assembly on Tuesday to push home their demands and submitted a letter to the leadership of the House of Representatives and the Senate on their demands.
