RIVERS STATE COORDINATOR OF NYSC, CHIEF CHIWENDU CHUKWU HAS CALLED ON GOVERNMENT AT ALL LEVELS TO ADOPT AND IMPLEMENT THE NYSC SKILLS ACQUISITION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT.

Rivers State Coordinator of NYSC, Chief Chiwendu Chukwu has called on Government at all levels to adopt and implement the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development, SAED Model in achieving a holistic and comprehensive youth empowerment to curb unemployment and reposition the economy for growth.

Giving the advice  during the swearing in of 2021 Batch A Stream One Corps members deployed to the State, Chief Chukwu said the NYSC SAED programme since its introduction into the orientation course content in 2012, had recorded phenomenal achievements.

According to him, many ex-corps members who benefited from the programme are doing well for themselves as business owners and entrepreneurs who are contributing greatly to the nations GDP.

The administration of the oath of allegiance on the corps member was performed by Justice Mark Chuku, on behalf of the State Chief Judge.

A total of one thousand one hundred prospective corps members were sworn in and formally inducted into the scheme at the occasion.
