DR. JONES AYUWO WHO WAS KIDNAPPED ALONG BORI ROAD HAS REGAINED FREEDOM

The Rivers State Police Command says a Lecturer with University of Port Harcourt, Dr Jones Ayowu who was kidnapped along Bori Road in Khana Local Government Area has regained his freedom.
The Lecturer who was with the abductors for almost four weeks was released in the early hours of Tuesday.
However, it was not clear if any ransom was paid for his release.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Police Command says it has rescued a man and a woman who were kidnapped over the weekend at the Woji axis of Port Harcourt.
Police Spokesperson, Nnamdi Omoni who did not disclose the identities of the kidnapped victims said their prompt rescue followed distress calls from a good citizen who alerted the Police immediately they were kidnapped.
The PPRO disclosed that the kidnappers were arrested during a stop and search at the Akpajo axis of Eleme.
