Some medical practitioners in Rivers State say the proposed strike by the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors scheduled for the end of this month due to non-payment of insurance to their colleagues who died of COVID 19 pandemic is inevitable.
Doctors Udochukwu Eze, and Priscilla Mbatam told our correspondent Nsikak Kufre that Resident Doctors are the live wire of patients and they have responsibilities to take care of their families.
They noted that the strike will affect the lives of the masses especially the sick ones but pointed out that they have no choice unless the government meets their demands.
Other members of the public appealed to the government to negotiate with the Doctors to prevent them from embarking on the strike in the interest of the masses.
