The National Assembly has been urged to review the laws against drug trafficking as to serve as deterrent to others.

Speaking with Radio Rivers Correspondent Oluyemi Joy, some Port Harcourt residents, Gordon Samuel and Adebayo Aransi said there should be stricter laws and hard punishment like the hot stove approach in China and Saudi Arabia for anyone caught  engaging in drug traffickin.

They however called for employment opportunities to be created for the youths to be meaningfully engaged.

The respondents also said youths should be properly enlightened by the government through the National Orientation Agency on the effects of drug trafficking.

The NDLEA recently arrested two drug traffickers at the Lagos International Airport who excreted one hundred and ninety-one  pellets of heroin and cocaine while under observation.
