GOVERNOR WIKE SAYS THE ECONOMIC BENEFITS DERIVABLE FROM THE DUALIZATION OF OGBUM-NU-ABALI EASTERN BYE-PASS ROAD IN PORT HARCOURT ARE ENORMOUS.

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike says the economic benefits derivable from the dualization of the Ogbum-Nu-Abali Eastern Bye-Pass Road in Port Harcourt Local Government Area are enormous.

He also stated that the dualization of the road was necessary due to the construction of the Oro-Abali and Rebisi Flyovers as well as other projects within the area.

Governor Wike who made the assertion at the flag-off ceremony of the project thanked the people of the area for giving government their consent to embark on the project after their initial objection.

He said compensation had been fully paid to owners of property affected by the project and the company also mobilized to commence work, emphasizing that the project will be completed within twelve months

Performing the flag-off, the member representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency One, Kenneth Anayo Chikere expressed the gratitude of the people of the area to Governor Wike, saying the flag-off of the project has brought to an end speculations on the dualization of the road by successive administrations.

In his project description, the State Commissioner for Works, Elloka Tasie Amadi said when completed, the road which would be built according to design specifications with a minimum lifespan of thirty years, would bring about positive transformation in the area.

Meanwhile Governor Wike will today flag-off of the building of Government Secondary School Kpor Gokana.
