Delegates at third National Conference of NUJ COMMENDS GOVERNOR WIKE FOR HIS QUALITY PROJECTS.

Delegates at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, 3rd National Conference held in Port Harcourt has commended Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for his iconic projects in Rivers State.

Vice Chairman, North Central Zone of the NUJ, Chief Wilson Bako who led a team of delegates to visit various roads and flyover bridges in the metropolis, said he had heard so much on radio and television about what Governor Wike was doing in Rivers and he is glad to see it firsthand.

Chief Bako said the quality of the projects were best stressing that the most impressive thing about the bridges is how the Governor was able to secure them with fences to prevent lunatics and miscreants from taking over as it was the case with other states that managed to construct few bridges.

He also stated that the quality of the projects were uncommon and can hardly be found in other states, adding that he was impressed with calibre of persons the Governor invited to commission the projects.

The Vice Chairman, NUJ Jigawa State, Larai Musa in her reaction stated that she had heard about the performance of Governor Wike and was here to see things for herself adding that Wike deserves commendations and promised to vote for him if decides to contest President.

Comrade Ikechukwu Ordu of Enugu state Council of NUJ who said he served as presiding officer at Bakana in Degama Local Government Area during the 2015 general elections also stated that what he had seen on ground in Rivers State was very impressive and equally called on other State Governors to emulate Governor Wike noting that at the end of the day what counts are the projects they leave behind.

Ugochukwu Chukwudieke also of Enugu State Council could not hold herself as she was overwhelmed by what the Governor is doing, adding that Rivers State is second to none.

Some of the project sites visited included Okoro-nu-Odo Flyover bridge, Rumuogba Flyover Bridge, Rumuola Flyover Bridge, GRA Junction flyover, Orochiri Flyover Bridge by Waterlines, as well as Rebisi Flyover Bridge and Oro-Abali Flyover Bridge by CFC.
