GOVERNOR WIKE DECLARES THAT GOD BLESSED RIVERS STATE, HENCE NOBODY SHOULD CONTEMPLATE FIGHTING THE STATE.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that God has blessed Rivers State, hence nobody should contemplate fighting the state.

According to him, it is for this reason that other states are battling with insecurity, Rivers State is busy flagging off and inaugurating projects.

Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike made the assertion today during the inauguration of the sixteen-point-two kilometers Umueze-Umuroke-Umuogba-Umuelechi-Umuokpurukpu-Umuagu-Umueke-Umunju-Eberi road in Omuma Local Government Area.

Governor Wike who reiterated that the essence of politics is not how much money one was able to put in his pocket, but to attract projects for the overall benefit of his people, commended the member representing Omuma Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Kelechi Nworgu for his commitment to bringing dividends of democracy to his people.

He announced that the State Government will construct Umuakali-Eberi road in the Local Government Area in appreciation of Kelechi Nworgu’s loyalty to the party and for ensuring that Omuma people continue to remain one indivisible force in support of the PDP, urging politicians in other Local Government Areas to emulate him.

Inaugurating the roads, former, Senate President, Senator Adolphus Wabara said Governor Wike is delivering dividends of democracy to Rivers people as his developmental projects are visible to the blind.

Senator Wabara noted that Governor Wike is akin to an international consultant to failing government as a result of his developmental approach, plans and formula, emphasizing that if the federal government should emulate and consult him on the problem of projects, complains of marginalization among ethnic groups in the country will be a thing of the past.

In his project description, the State Commissioner of Works, Elloka Tasie-Amadi said the roads built according to engineering standard, will enhance public safety and better the lots of the people.
