National Orientation Agency says internet and on-line users are one of the biggest community of people creating conflict and insecurity in Rivers State.
The State Director of the agency, Young Ayotamuno in a weekly dialogue in Port Harcourt titled the role of youths and other stakeholders in curbing insecurity across communities in Rivers State, identified bloggers and social media influencers as critical to crime and peace building in the State.
The NOA boss pointed out that the new media dimension for peace building in the society was a major challenge, appealing to the Police and other security agencies to brace-up to their duty.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Diobu Vigilante, Prince Amatari observed that youths had great potentials for excellence if only they can channel their energy appropriately for legitimate business.
