SOME LEGAL PRACTIONERS IN RIVERS STATE REACT TO THE CHIEF JUSTICE OF NIGERIA, JUSTICE MOHAMMED TANKO SWEARING-IN OF EIGHTEEN JUSTICES INTO THE COURT OF APPEAL.

Some Legal Practitioners in the State have reacted to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mohammed Tanko swearing-in of eighteen Justices into the Court of Appeal.

Speaking with Radio Rivers Correspondent Oluyemi Joy, in an interview, the Legal Practitioners Charity Ohaneme, O.S.F Azundah and Reuben Kalio said it was advantageous to the Judicial System as it would ease Justice Delivery and piled up cases in the Appeal Court would be attended to.

The respondents also said it will encourage Nigerians to bring their cases to court and check unnecessary delay in dispensation of Justice.

The Lawyers stressed the need for the Judges to be apolitical and dispense Justice without fear or favour.

They however, called on the government to make adequate provisions for the welfare of the Judges and Judiciary workers.
