Parents have been advised to respect the opinion of their children on career choices.
The General Manager of Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation, Sir Sampson Fiberesima who gave the advice when pupils and students of CHRIPS Education Centre, Port Harcourt paid a facility visit to the FM Station, stressed that most successful students were those that chose their own careers without influence from their parents.
Represented by the Director of Commercials, Pastor Enoch Adolphus, Sir Fiberesima also said exposing the pupils and students to educational environment would serve as a guide for their choice of career and emphasized that parents should not influence their children’s careers for them to be successful.
In her response, the Press Club Coordinator of the School, Miss Elizabeth Lesi Lucky commended the Corporation for maintaining its position in education, information and entertainment as the first FM Station in the State and in the region.
Radio Rivers Correspondent, Alexander Wikina reports that the pupils and students were conducted round the various operating units of the Corporation.
